A couple of weeks ago we had the joy of capturing some in home memories for the Monniers! Their home is located in The Waters at Pike Road but you may know them as the owners of Guns Out Crossfit on Atlanta Highway. From the moment we walked into their home, we were amazed by the careful design of the home and how it perfectly intertwined Southern and French style. However, what we were more amazed by the love that filled that beautiful home! We were able to just sit and hang out with Charles, Lindsay, Ash, and Ernie (their adorable fur baby) as we waited for baby Ross to fall asleep. You would think it would be awkward to just sit in a living room and wait for a baby to fall asleep but the the conversation comes easily with this family. Plus, we got to watch Harry Potter and that makes for a good day in my book! Anyway, after getting some precious candids, we went upstairs and Ash showed us his room. This kid is not lacking on personality! He didn’t seem to think we were very funny so we had him read us some jokes. Again, I cannot emphasize how many hilarious expressions Ash has in his portfolio. Once baby Ross woke up, we were able to shoot those adorable baby butt pictures that everyone loves and their formal and informal family portraits.
Take a look at some of our favorites and you will see that infectious family love that we mentioned before. Do you have a new addition to your family( in or out of the womb-it does not matter to us)? Or has it just been a while since you had your family portraits made? We would love to do an in-home shoot for you! These shoots can be for your whole family, a maternity session, or newborn and/or nursing session. We have to admit that these in home sessions are some of our favorites because, as you can see from the Monnier’s session, they are just more natural. Plus, you don’t even have to load up the family and go anywhere-we bring all of our lights and equipment to you! Check out our website for more information.
See ya soon!–Haley and Jeri

Hello everyone! So I know these may seem a bit behind but we’re trying to get everything put together so bare with us! Last weekend I had the privilege of meeting 5 high school kids from a local magnet school. Four of the five are upcoming seniors and the other one is an upcoming junior. These guys were fantastic. Brandon, Katie, Catherine, Tori, and Chamberlyn were all such great troopers as we toyed with lighting and tried some new things. Brandon and Catherine came and gave it their all despite having injuries – Brandon was on crutches after hurting his hip and Catherine had hurt her ankle during dance a few days prior! But despite that they tried their hardest to do what we asked them to do (without hurting themselves further, of course!). It always amazes me to see a group of friends in settings like a photoshoot because you really get a sense of who’s who in their group and just how different they all are. They may have similar interests, but they are completely different people. The four girls reminded us of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (if you haven’t seen that movie… don’t tell us. Just look it up on Netflix and treat yourself! You’re welcome!!) Keep in mind, this is only part one of two! We still have an outdoor session to tackle and I personally cannot wait!
A couple of weekends ago, we asked Josh and Emily to spend an afternoon with us in the studio and exploring downtown. We had a blast and we got some fantastic shots out of it! Emily is an upcoming senior at Helena High in Birmingham and Josh is a current senior at Helena High. Emily is a natural model…I mean seriously y’all the camera loves her. This was my first shoot since coming on as the studio photographer at The Total Image Studio and I must say, it will definitely be a hard one to beat. Emily will be coming back for more photos in the future so get use to seeing her gorgeous face. Josh was just an all around goof ball (and Haley’s brother) but I must say he was quite the natural model as well. The poses we had him do, most guys have a problem with, but he did them like a well-seasoned pro. I can only hope all of our senior shoots this upcoming year will be as fantastic as this one was!
Stay awesome. Stay unique.Jeri and Haley
